Going to buy a compression tester, what size adaptor do I need for a first generation V8. Looks like most come with MM adaptors. Thanks

One of the best kept secrets of American automobiles, the thread on spark plugs has always been metric. I found a reference that said, "...there are four standard SAE spark plug threads, all metric: M18 x 1.5; M14 x 1.25; M12 x 1.25; and M10 x 1.0".

Thanks Roger, I had no idea, no wonder all the old kits I've looked at had MM fittings. I thought previous owners had just upgraded.  Thanks again, Mike
