On my 68 AMX I stayed with the stock Eaton pump. I replaced the seals, no leaks now and works ok.

I did the same as Chisam with the White70JavelinSST. Rebuilt the stock Eaton pump, new seals, been OK so far. I didn't touch the steering box. Still original and leak free so far.
