15x8x4.5 were factory . largest tire depends on tire manufacturer .  I ran  MT N50-15's on mine back in the day . today would be a 255 I believe . but they would not be good on an 8 inch today (sidewall technology). It will also depend on your ride height . I do know a 235 60 r 15 on the rear with 215 70 r 15 /225 65 r 15 on front fit well .

edit spelling . lol

I would suggest going to a tire shop, choose the tire and have them trial fit. You may get a larger size for the rear but the front with that width may contact the fender at steering lock.
Better to find out not rolling in the shop then on the road.

Depends... what Wheels / Rims... 5" back space if available maximizes use of space & leaf spring clearance imho... 5-1/2" bs left ~1/8 LS clearance with 255/60/15's... but I ran 15x8, 4.5 bs w/ 255/60/15 and it cleared the LS by 1-1/8"... and barely cleared the quarter panel lip with new / good rear leafs... others have ran 295/50/15's... like in this video...
