You want pictures? I just pulled mine out of storage and it's in the shop right now for some work. I can post pics this afternoon.
Anything else you need pics of?? My car is a mostly unmolested car. The previous owners rarely drove it so many things on the car have been untouched for decades. |

Well since my cable went to the left side (it's a long cable, likely too long to go on the right without trouble) not sure pics of the cable would work out - on the other hand, maybe it would be helpful.
Mine was so screwed up, dash and interior-wise when I got it, even under the hood most stuff was NOT in the correct locations. Nothing was routed properly, heater hoses didn't exist so I have no idea where those went, the center dash pod, the section with glove box, when it's screwed to the floor nothing else lines up so I had to reinstall it and NOT screw it to the floor because if I did, I wasn't able to get the upper screws to reach and go into the dash structure. So something isn't right there......... or else the center is warped and distorted (gee, did AMC dashes ever do that?)
Ideally, I'd have my car parked next to your car and start taking notes and a dozen photos of the engine bay, interior, rear deck back of the back seat, and more! LOL - can I borrow your cars for a few weeks? |

Bill, on my '72 (control mounted to the left of console) there are three tabs on the plastic trim piece under the steering wheel. My control is mounted to the screw on the right-most trim tab. I took these photos, but the limited space made it difficult to get a good view or to get the camera to focus properly.
