Hello all,
I am not sure if people will see this message in this rather old forum, but I have some similar troubles to what started this discussion. I recently purchased a '62 Rambler American, and the brakes are giving me a lot of trouble. Does anyone know if it is possible to convert the brakes from manual to power brakes specifically on the 1962 Rambler American model? Maybe the 'Scarebird kit' I am reading about here will work? Help!! Thanks in advance!

Mason, Just noting again, the issue is not so much converting to "power" brakes (you can have manual or power, disc or drum). Your concern is converting to disc brakes from drum brakes. This topic, if you read through, has just about all the info you need. Paul |
