Got a good ground regulator case to alternator case?

I suggest going over previous pages  because it has all been explained many times. Maybe also contact a local shop to have the components (alternator) tested. Sometimes they do that for free.

Resolved.......I had the alternator out, bench tested, and it passed with flying colours. In re-installing it, I noticed new Flamethrower coil, which mounts directly above the alternator, had slipped down in its harness, bottoming out on top of the alternator, shorting it out. Pulled the coil up an inch, tightened the retaining screw, and guess what! The alternator light is out. Embarrassing.....thanks to all who chimed in to help on this one.
