the car dies like its out of gas then hard to start.  some times need to pour fuel in carburetor to get running again

Looks like you have attacked everything except the problem...
Be sure there are NO cracks in the rubber fuel line at the tank or at the engine, especially at the tank. Be sure you have a new fuel filter on there. Check fuel pump output. I would say a cracked fuel line, or possibly a restricted one. You should be able to blow back through the line easily.

what knightFlight sez: the Technical Service Manual has a procedure for checking the fuel pump. basically hose off the carb into a can, crank it, see how much gas it pumps.

there's no beating testing from first principles!

Yes to what knight and tom say.  Gotta be fuel draw. Time to get dust and gas in your eyes and check feed lines.
75 gremlin x, jeep 4.0 headed 258,
264H Cliff cam, intake,header. 390 holley. I want a 282 VAM motor!

AC/PS/PDB.

72 AMX , 304 2bbl, 3speed, now disks...probably will sell, want an automatic /AC.
