I've been digging around looking for various parts for the Rambler and I can't seem to find any real option for front shocks.  Plenty of choice for the rears though.

So, without getting side tracked into a rant on the importance of good tires and shocks, what are the options for good, high quality shocks for the front end of the Rambler?

It seems that all the available shocks are good quality. I'm running Gabriel classic shocks on mine. All they make are gas charged any more. They just customize the ends of a shock they currently make with similar length and stroke to what the original specs were. Gabriel 82069 fit and work well, that's what I have on my car now (just put them on). They were originally spec'd for 64-69 American/Javelin/AMX, but fit the 63-64 Classic with stud at each end (changed to eye at lower end for 65-66). Front end is nearly the same as the American, just different upper trunnion.
