Hey y'all, the fuel pump bolts missing when I got my American. has the 232 6 cyl., anybody know what size bolts are needed to install pump? thanks for any info

Probably course thread and if the holes are 5/16" then that's what the bolts would be with a 1/2" head and 6 threads showing with the bolts sticking through the pump. I don't know for sure if they use lock washers but probably yes. Bolt heads are typically 3/16" larger than shank diameter until you get into the larger sizes. They could also be 3/8" with a 9/16" head and I am guessing about 1" long but not a big deal to figure out yourself. Got a new pump for the old beast?

it's a grade 5 , 5/16 bolt, 1 1/4 inch long, 1/2 inch head, 18 thread pitch, with a lock washer.
That's not guesswork, I took a fuel pump bolt out of a 232 I have.
