Just thought I'd update this thread as I got the Retrosound Hermosa installed this weekend. It fit with some small alterations needed behind the dash to make it fit. Looks pretty good if you ask me, and it's got pretty much any feature you could ask for.

Looks awesome!

For about 390.00 you can have your orginial radio moderized Vintage Auto Radio. Works and sounds great.
What do they do?
Add external input?
Amp outputs?
Hidden FM on an AM radio?

thanks!

Another option, for others who might be looking for something less expensive, is to put a small Bluetooth amplifier in the trunk.  You can then transmit to it from your phone, or a portable Bluetooth player.

I have both a small Bluetooth flash drive with music stored on it (about the size of a key fob) and a portable Bluetooth CD player. I have these Bluetooth amps (about $50 on Amazon) installed in both my old cars and just move the portable players around to whichever car I'm using.  The amp I use is so small that it fits in the corner under the trunk floor mat and nobody sees it.  You could also probably mount a larger one to the bottom side of the package shelf if you wanted to and it would hardly be noticeable.

I still have my original AM radio in the dash but I seldom use it.

I changed my 70 AM radio to a newer digital retro style radio from American Performance Products with blue tooth USB.... I did make some custom spacer adapters to fit the radio properly to the face plate, the radio chrome face was bottoming on the back of the cast face plate, also I was lucky enough to have a spare set of knobs that could be fitted. My car is not together yet I bench tested the radio it sounded weak hopefully it sounds better in the car?
