Hey y'all, just got me a 66 rambler American, inline 6 cyl., trying to determine engine size.  block casting number is 3181884 but cant seem to find info to verify size.  Vin number has an A is the 7th digit.  need some help so I can get a fuel pump.  thanks for any help

A indicates the 199 (though it would be interchangeable with the 232, as would most of the parts.)
Fuel pump would be the same.

There is a bare pad on the block next to the distributor with stamped numbers and a letter on it.  If there is a J in that series you have a 1966 199 engine.  If there is an L you have a 232 engine.  Those numbers represent the build date for your engine.  Joe

ok, maybe a stupid question, but anybody have pics of a mechanical fuel pump installed on a 232?  I am converting to electric wipers and need a fuel pump but the ones that I have found look like they will not work.  any help greatly appreciated
