Ok, been working on getting my little 71 Hornet 6 cyl up and running and now I am having a issue with the starter not engaging ring gear on converter. Starter was MIA when I bought so I got one from my local parts store. So did some more poking around I saw that ring gear was pretty worn soooooooo out she came,rebuilt converter with new ring installed. Installed starter and it cranked motor nicely then started making that grinding noise again. I’m thinking it’s the starter and looking for some words of wisdom. Maybe a starter someone has that come off a early 232. Thanks
