Hello all,

I am thinking about changing the cam in my recent build.Currently, 360, 11to1, edlebrock heads, air gap, bla bla and a
lunati 702 hydraulic flat tappet.
  • Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 262/268
  • Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 220/226
  • Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .507/.527
  • LSA/ICL: 112/108
I chose the cam because it is in a jeep and i wanted enough vacuum to run my brakes and it does satisfy low rpm and vac need but i really feel that i am leaving a lot of power untapped.   I prepped the block for a roller so that is an option but i am using a cast crank.   I guess i am asking for some first hand knowledge of some cam selection in others builds.   (rpm, vac usable range of power)

I have run the voodoo cams in other builds and been pleased but not sure i made a great choice this time.  I am considering the voodoo 703 or 704 grind.

I am open to all suggestions,  I just need to keep enough vac for my brakes.

Thanks in advance.
Chris

If your climbing then you may want to talk to these people:

They have quite a few 360 builds on this site. They seem to go with the PWA camshaft for most of the builds?
And I would guess if climbing they also want good braking.
