Seen 2 different torqueing orders posted. One from the TSM. One supposedly an updated version. Which should be used?

Torque the furthest out head bolts on the exhaust side last in the sequence.
That order was devised to assist in preventing the head from cracking in those areas. |

They both work, just do smaller increments than stated in the manual. I use a simple 3/8 drive to quickly get the bolts hand tightened about 10ft lbs, while following the sequence order. Then bring out the torque wrench to toque to 15 ft-lbs and continue to increase in 15ft-lbs incréments. Takes a wee longer to get there but effectively torques the heads in place.
