It's funny,
but every single potent Gremlin I ever heard about from "back in the day" came with the same exact claim:

"it pulls wheelies" LOL

I bet many have,
just not AS many as were claimed Wink

Good luck with the build Steve Smile

As the owner of that gremlin I can honestly say it never did.

And I never said it did.

Bovine excrement tends to be spread far and wide.

But it was a 12 flat street daily driver.

I'm thinking the cam might be a bit small for 500 HP, unless the heads flow some crazy numbers.

500hp with the right rear end gearing will make a car
as short as a gremlin hard to keep on the ground.

That said it is pretty easy to get 1.25 hp per cid out of an AMC v8.

A good 401 and 3.54 ratio gears should see any Gremlin into the high 11's pretty easily.

That cam in a 343 with similar heads made 1.3 hp per CID

1.3 in a 406 would make 530 hp
