You would likely have some poor quality shifts, too soon or too late.

It's easy to test a modulator....just get a clean vacuum hose on the tip and suck on it!
It's also easy to replace. They just screw in to the tranny case; some of them have an adjustment screw; I can't recall if yours does.

This modulator is adjustable with the screw. I'm noticing a more than usual delay when shifting into reverse or drive.

Do you turn the screw adjustment clock-wise for more pressure?
