Hey guys,
Finally purchased a 1971 Javelin, after many years.  Wondering if you have any info on the exterior stainless steel trim on this car.  Have not seen any images of this.  Originally an early '71 car from CA if that helps.  Thanks!

Sorry, having trouble uploading images, but it is basically a horizontal trim piece running the entire length of the car.

Thx

Like this?

Optional, so not all cars have it.  Some cars have nothing and others have graphics that varied a little from year to year.  '71 were available with horizontal graphics:

while '72 had a "C" stripe:

AMX versions had different graphics, on the hood only.

Not sure where to buy the horizontal stainless trim.  If your car had it originally you would have mounting holes in your fenders and doors.  You can remove the trim, but obviously you'll then have to fill the holes.

Horizontal stainless trim is pretty 'rare' option.  There is nothing reproduced and I know of two different guys that have bern looking for pieces to complete sets for many years.  If you have the entire set, it would be best to have your parts restored, there are many vendors that can make them new again.

Thanks for the replies.  All of the trim on this car is in amazingly good shape, especially considering it's age, mileage and recent history.  looking forward to restoring it!
