Hi folks new member here. We have a 1969 AMX we are building for a client. We are using a FAST EFI on the engine. Question is we need another location to add another temp sensor for a temp gauge. The location on the Edelbrock intake is being used for the FAST coolant sensor. I need another location to ad a second temp sensor.Thanks.

I would T off from the bypass hose as it has a constant flow of heated water recirculating back to the pump from the thermostat. Or you can drill and tap at the intake at the #7 cylinder location across from the heater fitting on #8.

I used something like this on my 4.0, they are available for various sized top hoses.

The factory sensor signals the computer. I have two of the hose ports in the top hose, one for the temperature gauge and one for my electric fan controller. My aftermarket temp gauge is not compatible with the computer output and my computer came from a mechanical fan Jeep, so it does not have an electric fan output.

Just tap the other side of the crossover above the #2 cylinder or add a late 70s/80s Wagoneer water outlet with the TVS port on it. Use the TVS port for the dash gauge and the factory port for the ecu temp.
