I believe there was a thread on here about the fire wall flexing around the brake booster. I have that issue and wonder if someone has a good remedy. I can fart around with it but if there is a fix that works I would rather not take the booster assembly off any more times than I have to. |

I have thought about such an issue while I have my brake master cylinder off the firewall.
Seeing that my 71 Javelin has the steering column support mounted behind the booster bracket you will not be able to mount a steel plate easy from the cabin side, as the sweged studs are fit through firewall and steering column support. I didn't see much flex by the way when checking, but on 71 on up cars the firewall is doubled up on steel, not sure if earlier years are not. The only other thread about flex was on electrical connections. Though it was with the bulkhead type two piece main harness. |
