Am I correct to assume that the cross=member in a 4 cyl Spirit can be changed out to a factory small body V8 cross-member? Like they use the same size arms etc.?

I would also recommend heavier weight springs in the front to deal with the bigger engine, but indeed the v8 cross members will bolt right in where the old 4 cylinder one was taken out. Crossmembers from 78&79 V8 concords, v8 hornets, and v8 spirits will bolt right in. These are called "small body" crossmembers if you see one for sale.

Thanks: I done this swap before years ago,, but never with a 4 cyl cross-member to change out its always been a 6 cyl CM to V8 swap, I'm aware of all the other upgrades.
