I am trying to piece together a complete set of seats for my AMX. I'd like to know about the trim that goes on the outside of the seat sometimes refered to short or long trim. I have an early production car, what trim should it have and is it reproduced? Also any pics would be great. Thanx.

Early '70's AMX would be the "long" style seat trim. Check the Vendors on the forum for the repro stuff.

Amark makes a very nice repro of the long style side trim. It is currently out of stock, but if you talk to him that may speed up the next time it is released. The chrome/mylar trim is available from APD.
A word of warning, I have that trim and the reason it was discontinued is that it breaks. I have just removed it and will be replacing it with the short pieces, except at shows. My passenger side trim has now broken twice! Thanks! Chris |

I have no idea what is considered early or late for seat trim, but my 70 was built in Jan. 1970, and came with the long style.
