trying to remove the center console from my 65 Marlin Twin Stick. Got the knobs off but how do I get the rings (or knob stops for lack of a better term) under it out? The hole in the console is too small for me to pull it up and out. Hope this makes sense as I can't seem to add aa picture. Thanks |

Looking at the picture in the '64 TSM you can't. It looks like the "knob stops" as you call them are not a separate part. They are integral to the levers.

Todd,
I,m a newbie on this forum but I was very interested when I read your post. I have a Marlin with an automatic not the standard with the twin stick. When I moved to Kansas from Kenosha I brought several parts with me that I had collected up over the years, which brings me to your dilemma. I just went out to my shed and looked at one of the twin stick shifters I have and unscrewed the knob and looked at the threaded adaptor under it. It looks to me like it is a separate piece that should unscrew from the shift lever. If you like I can see if I can get it off. I think a little heat applied to it might do the trick. mowerman59 |
