I don't think I would worry about that as he is putting it in the thermostat housing.
It will not read anything till the stat opens and if it sticks closed he would cook the motor and the gauge would not read a thing because the stat never opened.

That's a very good point. Where can you find an outlet before the thermostat on a 360c.

That's a very good point. Where can you find an outlet before the thermostat on a 360c.
There is usually a spot in the intake water passage usually just to the pass side from the housing.

I was assuming the OP thought of the drawbacks of the housing location and is trying to use the stock port in the thermostat housing that the emission valve normally screws into.



As to the intake manifold the stock tap is always available.
