I'm assembling the 304 for my '65 wagon and trial fitting everything. The w/p pulley came with the engine when I bought it. I noticed that it only clears the crank pulley by about 1/16 ". Tthe diameter is 6 7/16". Is that the correct pulley?
Sorry for the questions but I haven't assembled an AMC V-8 in about 35 years. 6 cylinders are more familiar to me.

I assume the pulleys align properly, just the distance between crank pulley to water pump pulley seems tight. That is the case for later v8 with extra belts with AC power steering pukley setups.

Sounds correct to me, I think all V8 crank pulley to pump pulley clearances are similar.

I have:

#321-6631 Fan pulley 1974 Jeep (LHDC)
#322-8284 Crank pulley 1976 Jeep (WHDC)  80-90 ( I guess that's 80 and 90 series Jeeps?)

 Thanks for the info.

Added "Notes" to previous post.
Yes, iirc, 80-90 means which series of Jeep.
It's been maybe 10 years since I made that chart.
LHDC = Less Heavy Duty Cooling and
WHDC = With Heavy Duty Cooling
Unaware what compatibility issues may exist
if / when mixing LHDC and WHDC Pulleys....
