I ordered a new trunnion bearing for my 68 AMX and it came with 3 o-ring/washer: Thick-Rubber, Thin-Rubber and Nylon-washer. These are long gone on the parts I removed. The service manual shows 3 washers, but not sure which one is which. It also doesn't show which side of the bearing goes up - one side just has the bearing race - the other side has the bearing race and the sheet metal that holds it all together.
I purchased the AMX as a 15yr stalled project so has been quite an adventure already. |
