Back when most roads were 2 lane, and crowned for drainage, it was SOP to put a little less caster on the left wheel. Otherwise you'd be steering slightly left all the time.
The car pulls to the side with less caster. In circle track racing it even has a name, it's called caster split, and we all use it. The tighter the track, the more you need. You have to hit a balance between how easy it enters a left turn, and how much you have to countersteer on the straights. But what you want on a banked track with all left turns is different from what you want on the highway.
