Just wondering if the top of the alternator should have a brace back to the engine to stop it shaking around:

My 71 and 73 had a z type bracket that mounted across with the battery ground cable attached on top.
71 Javelin SST body
390 69 crank, 70 block & heads
NASCAR SB2 rods & pistons
78 Jeep TH400 w/ 2.76 Low
50/50 Ford-AMC Suspension
79 F150 rear & 8.8 axles
Ford Racing 3.25 gears & 9" /w Detroit locker

Yes there is supposed to be a bracket there.

Maybe Dltowers will post a picture or two. They can be fabbed from steel bar, If one is willing, and may come out very close to factory in looks.
