Forgive my ignorance here but I am looking to replace the headlights in my 70 Javelin. I'm not sure where to begin when it comes to removing the headlights. What is the easiest way of accessing them?
Thanks

You'll want to take off the headlight 'door' trim piece, held on by Philip's head screws. Then locate the 3 small Philip's screws around the headlight retainer ring (thin round stainless ring.) Loosen those. Don't remove them. The retaining ring will then rotate about 1/2" and come off. Then you carefully detach the wire connector from the back of the headlight...just pull and wiggle at the same time. Reverse the procedure....check the low beam and high beam for proper operation before you put the headlight trim back in place

You don't want to touch the headlight adjusting screws (bigger screws, one on the side, one on the bottom) when you replace a headlamp.

The headlight door trim with the chrome piece can be a little difficult to remove without scratching .  Take your time when doing this first step.  If you tilt the top of the surround forward it will  be easier to slide the bottom out from under the lip of the bumper.....  the rest is exactly as Paul explained above...  Good luck!
