Fuel sending unit resistance?

replacing fuel sensor in my 64 american wagon  and can not find ohm spec in my manuals.the new sending unit shows 8 ohms full and 73 ohms empty.Anyone have the spec?

That's about right I think.  The 1966 American book indicates 73 ohms empty and 10 ohms full.  Should be the same unit.  It certainly is the same tank.  Joe
