I put the carquest 6737 pump on. The arm sits above the cam instead of under it like on the original pump. It seems to work ok other than a faint knocking which I imagine will go away once it breaks in. Its not as smooth as the original but Ill put the right one one once I get it

Ollie,
Question for you, first thanks for pics and clarification on the pumps. I am in the same boat with mine a 66 232. My question then, you said that "all arms go under the cam when you install them". All good but the pump you used 6737, in the pic is installed pump up therefore the arm would be over the cam would it not? If so, did that work just fine? Thanks for clarifying, Im about to order the 6737. |

Yes the arm will be on top of the cam. You can put your finger in the hole and feel the high side of the cam. You can see the direction of the pump arm. You can hook your wiper motor to the vacuum on the intake manifold. Have AMC Fun, Ollie |
