If you want to get it back on the road without much trouble, I'd just get the head you have checked for cracks and see how the valve seats/guides look. If its ok, then surface it, put new valve stem seals in, and put it back together.
There are more varieties of 4.0 head gaskets available than for cubic inch motors, but anything for a 258+ or 4.0 should work for your application.
You have the steel valve cover, right? Some good tacky gasket goo and allowing it to cure before running work for me.
