I noticed that my header/front exhaust pipe is loose from the manifold. I won't know why until tomorrow but I'm just planning to replace the entire exhaust as the muffler is cracked and I may want to go the cherry bomb route anyway. As looking for replacement parts , I can't find a single place to get a replacement header pipe. The rest I can seem to find.
So I was wondering what should I do. I have a 82 concord, 6 cyl, 258, a can get most of the other pipes I need. So do I find a local shop to bend me a header pipe? Use a header from another car such as a jeep or ford, use a flex pipe and weld a manifold mount to it? I'm kind of at a loss for the best way to go. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks |

Any muffler shop I've seen that has the machine to bend pipes, can just as easily make the pipe that mates to the exhaust manifold outlet.
