I've been looking for a correct mirror for my Hornet which came factory with manual mirrors, and I noticed that there seems to be a lot more drivers side remote mirrors than manual. I was wondering if it was possible to remove the cable from a remote mirror without the mirror itself flopping around and losing the ability to hold in position?
Thanks!

Nope, will flop around. At one time I had a manual mirror as I wanted to make chrome remote mirrors to be different than factory painted, and used the head. The heads are interchangeable.
