in stock form the amx is limited to not wide tires mini tube you cant gain much because of the leaf springs i have seen people move them in on ramblers if the truck and floor pan are in good shape i would think twice in doing something like that to such a car but if there shot have at it  its yours do as you please

Your car looks good and if you do decide this route just remember for the "street" don't get caught in the rain. The rear is so light the tires will hydroplane and you can loose it at 30 mph or less.
Local rodder just lost their spouse, leg and car on a slight curve in the road doing under the speed limit thinking they were being cautions enough.

Focus on the Machine I reckon and leave the AMX alone, nothing worse than having two projects on the go at the same time. I'd wait until the power upgrades are well and truly in the pipeline before chopping up the car. Maybe look at the guys running in the FAST series if you want to see what you can achieve with leaf springs if you really put your mind to it.
