I have a friend you is not computer literate and he installed the scarebird front brakes on his 74 Gremlin. The rotor is not centered in the caliper and he is wondering where the best place is to place shims. Shim the caliber or shim the caliber bracket? Anybody know what the Scarebird guys would advise? He has found that they don't like phone calls, but like I said, he does not want to spend time on a computer.

From what I know from other threads, scarebird had required drum spindles which are longer by how they mount on the 4 bolt mounting. Thus if you use disk spindles shimming out would be required. If that is the case, which sounds like it is, shim the spindle where it mounts to the upright.
