I never installed a cam button on a  Crane hydraulic roller camshaft.  Was it necessary?

There is a thread or two on just using a rounded top bolt and polish the head.

Will look for some and add for you to read through.

Has anyone tried to epoxy a hardened washer to the timing cover?  Any thoughts??

Maybe if you want the washer to get into the timing chain....(BOOM!)

I just used one of the composite (plastic type) cam buttons from a BB Chevy. Costs about $6 Hacked off the big wonky section and sanded it down to fit. Works like a charm and won't cause any wear to the timing cover.
