I've seen a Javelin/AMX with a working T-Top, but I didn't think it was factory.
But if you put the T-top looking roof on it, it might look a little strange if you didn't use the extra lines and creases of the t-top in you paint scheme somehow.

yeah, i saw your pm just a minute ago. i haven't been here for the last bit. but any help would be great. the main question that i have is,since you've had the entire skin off, where are most of the spot welds? and where would you recommend making the cuts to skin it? i'm going out there this week end so i can get good shots of of both roofs for better reference. actually i plan to get loads of pics of both cars and parts. just so i know what i have and can start making a good plan of attack. and start prioritizing the build so i can budget and time purchases. so if there is any spot in particular that i need to get a shot of. let me know.

The spot welds will be along the top of the front and back window opening and along the drip rails. You also have factory seams where the roof skin meets the A pillar and at the rear sail panel where the roof skin meets the quarter panel.

hi, I just "restified" an 84 Eagle sedan. Used to have a vinyl top. Did not want to back to vinyl, so had the roof spayed with a professional grade pickup truck bedliner. IMO, looks really good, and should hopefully hold up well. From some distance looks like a vinyl top. good luck, gz
