Gear Ratio for B&W 4speed

The mileage sounds right but you really shouldn't be seeing ~3800 at cruise with those gears. I imagine it would be closer to 3100-3500ish. I used to run a Ford pickup all day that could barely run 70 with excessively deep 3.73 gears. LT tires were fairly big too. That thing would roar at 3000 flat for hours puking and pissing until the day it blew up. On that note, I'm glad the AMC V8 doesn't suffer this curse. Probably the only reason I bought a Javelin last year.

I see ~3000ish on the highway with my 25.6" track tires and 3.15-3.31ish gears(still no idea what I have yet). 2.87 would be the most effective on the highway cruising at 2500 steady. The 304 has more than enough power to keep it there. ~20mpg sounds about right for it.
