Hi, new to forum. Im planning a 1976 gremlin v8 swap. Have a 1973 AMX 360 to use. What type of exhaust manifolds have you found to work/fit best? Can I use long tube headers and if so can you guide me to what brand seems to fit well? Thanks for any imput.

Regarding factory exhaust manifolds, you need a free flow for the driver side, and a log style for the passenger side. That is what the factory supplied on V8 Gremlin, Hornet, and I assume Spirit. People have used the free flow on the pass. side, but it requires notching or grinding the pass. side strut rod bracket.

Edit: I meant to add that the 70 V8 Hornet came with 2 log styles. Starting in 71, they changed the driver side to a freeflow.

SmileThanks guys, appreciate the replies. I was actually looking at the hedman 98310 but a vendor on e-bay said the wouldn't fit. I wanted long tube headers, so I will try those. I didn't want to buy them to find out they didn't fit. Thanks

I have a set of used Hooker Super/Comps with JetHot coating that I'll sell you that came off of my 73 401 Gremlin. They were made for the car, and did fit just fine. Like any long-tube header, they do hang low, and ultimately, that's why I took them off as I have lowered the car an inch or so, and that was no-bueno.
