Question Need some help identifying these yokes.

Far right fits into a T-10 trans, 29 splines, OD ~ 1 1/2"

2nd from right 25 splines and a "gap" between splines seen at the 12 0'clock position, OD ~ 1 1/2"

3rd from right 26 splines and a "gap" between splines seen at the 12 0'clock position, OD ~1 1/2"

Far left 29 splines and a "gap" between splines seen at the 12 0'clock position, OD ~  1 11/16"

I think these are from 68 and later AMX & Javelins I parted out 30+ years ago, but I also parted out a bunch of Cudas & Challengers.

Can you ID these yokes?

I know they're not going to mate up with the 904 or iron small case. Could be compatible with the TF727 but I'm not familiar with the RWD versions. 29 spline is what I have for my small case but that tooth gap is made to index the driveshaft, which is completely pointless. This has to be non-AMC. I can't picture a BW-35 having a gap tooth output shaft.

Count the gap as a one of the splines. The AMC yokes have a snap ring grove to hold the U joint cups. The early AMC torque flights also hade the same groves, around 75 -76 they went to the same U joints as a Mopar. Amc T-10s are 28 spline. 904s are 26. Far left 29 with the gap is a 30 , for a 727. 26 plus the gap is a 27 that's a GM T350. IIRC.

GM did the gap thing a lot and I just gave away a 904 yoke a couple of weeks ago

The gap is so it can slide on the splines with out pressure build up

Excellent observation there OBR; 'missing spline' releases fluid to reduce hydraulic jacking effect

I think I read somewhere, in some Ford information, the open space is for indexing the yoke: this is because they were balanced 'on car' from the factory? (one should mark the rear u-joint also)

AMC TSMs tell how to re-balance the driveshaft in case the index is lost... using worm screw type hose clamps...

...seems like the yokes should have pn#s on them somewhere

if not, and you are trying to sell them (on eBay?) -just spec out all the measurements ID of the yoke sleeve, ID of the splines, #of splines, OD of the sleeve, length etc; that's the only way I was able to find a yoke for XRV8 Gremlin -not by make and model! (wound up finding a 16 spline from a '57 Ford Fairlane T-85 -by the seller's measurements)
