In general, the 2 bbl carb vehicles were the low compression engines and the 4 bbl were the high compression ones. Here is a good site with lots of information on all the gen 1 engines. [URL]http://jubileejeeps.org/327/tsm/index.htm[\URL]

We have a couple of 327s. The 65 is a filthy pig. I love it, but it is always spewing oil - the 66 is not so bad. it has the "oil spew recovery" system. You don't want to swap that engine - they are really cool things.

The 66 engine has the chrome extra stuff - the 65 is more stock - you can see the different on the oil fill tube.
