Does anyone know if a regular AM radio volume control is the same as an AM 8 track knob? Have an 8 track that needs volume control?

No, not likely. The am and am/fm radios are mono with a single section volume control. The AM/8 track is stereo and for sure will use a dual section control.
What's wrong with the control ? if it's noisy or intermittent it may be able to be stored with a specific volume control cleaner like Cramolin. Use these control cleaners sparingly. |

It's physically damaged. Didn't know it was stereo. Probably no chance in finding a used one.
