Hi All, I'm finally getting around to replacing the parking brake cables on the GT. The parking brake itself has never worked, and after rebuilding the rear brakes, I thought I'd go ahead and tackle the parking brake system as well. Unfortunately, as I got into it and started looking at the system, I found the pedal (front) cable missing about 2 feet of its length as it reaches the equalizer, and the passenger side cable hanging loose and wrapped around the suspension to keep it from dragging out behind the car. I have all new parts (from Galvin's), and the rear cables installed at the brakes. The driver side cable won't be an issue, I can see it goes in the upper mount prior to the equalizer. But the passenger side cable has me stumped. I have the bracket that holds it against the drive shaft near the backing plate mounted, but from there I can't quite seem to find the correct path through the suspension, shock and exhaust, nor can I find the mounting hole for the other bracket. I did a seach for "parking brake cables", but came up empty for a pic of the correct path and bracket location. Can anyone post a quick pic of their setup for the Spirit? Hopefully showing the cable path and where the other bracket mounts? Thanks!! TL 83GT

A big hats off and "Thank You!" to BBOSpirit for providing pics. After reviewing the pics I was able to get the routing done and the cable clamp mounted in about 5 mins.
Hoping to finish the job tonight and get back on the road!
