Hi . . . last year, I requested the help of this board in helping with some AMC items I was working on for a book published by CarTech, Inc.

Well, Selling the American Muscle Car: Marketing Detroit Iron in the 60s and 70s is finished and will hit bookshelves later this month. For a signed copy, please visit this website:

www.sellingmuscle.net

For a preview of the book, you can visit the publisher's site (scroll to the bottom and find the appropriate tab):

https://www.cartechbooks.com/selling-the-american-muscle-car-marketing-detroit-iron-in-the-60s-and-70s.html

In the AMC chapter, you'll find the following features:

  • 343 American
  • "Day at the Races"
  • "Badger" Javelin
  • Javelin XP
  • Group 19 equipment
  • Redliner magazine
  • Chicagoland promotion at Meadowdale during the 1968 Trans-Am series
Along the way, I've met some pretty helpful AMC fans including John Becker, Ian Webb, and Larry Daum (among others). Richard Truesdell and Mark Fletcher also should receive kudos for their advice.

Any questions? Just PM me here (although not sure I'll receive an email alert) or, better yet, visit my website and message me from there.

Thank you!Tongue
