I have rebuilt the suspension on my AMX back in 97. It has 3500 miles on it since the rebuild. Everything is tight but when I hit a bump at 50 plus it wants to shake/shimmy. I had a loose idler and I replaced it but still there and not much better. I'm thinking maybe shocks at it rolls when I hit dips in the highway. Any thoughts?

I'd say take it to a reputable front end or frame shop where they can put it on the hoist to look at everything and maybe find something loose. If nothing is loose it shouldn't shake or shimmy. Just because the front end may look a little different from what they are used to that shouldn't throw them off.

If everything looks up to par, check the alignment.

What year car? Control arm bushings can be difficult to tell if they are bad and can cause a lot of shimmy.
