Pat, any news? I can't be the only one wanting to know the outcome.

Smile Sprayed penetrating oil in the lock last weekend and got the key out, but the switch still will not turn to the off position.

May try again this weekend...

Just a thought - and I'm not familiar with the steering column.. What happens if one were to loosen the two screws on the ignition switch located on the column by the firewall? That's were the switch was located on my '70 AMX's and I remember having to adjust the linkage rod running from the key to it.

Thumbs Up South Bay AMX Club member Shelby Wright came over today, removed the steering wheel, disassembled the inner parts of the column to access a slot that can be used to press a detent that holds the ignition switch lock in the column. The ignition switch lock was FUBAR. Purchased a new one, Shelby installed it and Jacqueline got to take her 74 Hornet for a cruise and to her work place to show her co-workers. Thank you Shelby!

Best $1.00 car I ever bought!
