Yes they are. Probably would have made it through with a lot less drama if the drivers had much more experience. True novices/rookies. They just wanted to drive fast, which the car was actually quite capable of doing. It also stopped well considering the tires and organic brand compound.
Hopefully now that they have it out of their systems, we will be able to get more laps in. We were supposed to have Pole Position for the Sunday start, but had to fix all the things they destroyed and got on the track a hour late. Seriously, this car was basically the same way it rolled of the assembly line in 75. Just a lot less weight and better safety features(roll cage, kill switch, fire extinguisher). No trick brakes, transmission, engine, rear, suspension. Zero, Zilch, Nada!!! Stock components all the way around!!! Edited by bbgjc - Oct/22/2016 at 3:34pm |
