I have made a solid spacer to take place of the crush sleeve. Going from the specs out of the old Performance American Style book, I did not see any specs on what to torque the pinion nut if you use a solid spacer. What is your opinion on how much to torque. Thanks Paul

I would use locktite and torque to around 150 ft lbs

The pinion on the AMC20 is torqued until bearing preload is correct. That's where the crush sleeve comes in. I don't see how you could achieve this with a solid sleeve unless it's a little under and you use shims. On a Dana 30 or 44 which uses shims, the spec is 200-220 ft/lbs.
