Why would they do it on a Mustang ? That's one car Bobby Allison never raced as far as I know. Looks like if not a AMC, they'd do a #12 Camaro, because he raced several Camaros under that number. Last year I painted a 79 Camaro gold and red # 12 as a tribute car for his grandson ( Robbie Allison ) to race circle track

Roush Fenway Mustang @ a upcoming Xfinity race.
Ryan Reed’s No. 16 Ford Mustang will carry a schemed based on Allison’s No. 16 stock car from 1975, when he won three races, including one at Darlington Raceway. http://www.speedwaymedia.com/?p=111453 Edited by roguedoug - Jun/20/2016 at 10:04pm |

I 've been a member of NASCAR for over 20 years. They often do things with no real sense . |

Thinking it may be a fund raising for a worthy cause.
Mustang looks good in the AMC skin! |

Yep, that is so true. We only follow a few races, and it is only because of the good racing. We are not fans of the Sprint format changes and the so called improved changes to reset the field so cars don't run away from the field. Plus the vague rules that may pop up mid season. NASCAR has divided its fan base by entertaining the corporate peeps not the peeps who helped NASCAR become a national sport. If Earnhardt was still alive, there would not be so many changes. |
