Very quick question...

I have a good gas leak from my accelerator pump gasket on my factory carb. I thought replacing the gasket would do the trick, but no such luck.

My quick question - does the gasket go on dry (which I assumed it did)?

I think my issue is the threading for the little bolts, but I thought I'd just second guess the gasket install and ask here.

Thanks,
Chris

Maybe some details on what model carb/engine combination.....pictures to show leak.  You need to provide more info to get good answers.

Never mind - I thought it was the gasket but there is more to it - diaphragm possibly.

Someone before me had gotten in there and tried a makeshift cork gasket and random screw which tells me it's an old issue. Carb will need a rebuild.

Thanks anyways,
C
